Solution for yesterday’s problem

A and B together in one day can complete 1/6 th of the work;  (a+b)/ab

In 2 days they complete 1/3 rd work

A, B, and C together in one day can complete 1/3 rd work; (6+6)/(6*6)

They can finish the remaining 2/3 rd work in 2 days.

Therefore, in 4 days the work will be completed.

Today’s problem

John, Peter, and Alice are three typists who working simultaneously can type 216 pages in four hours. In one hour Alice can type as many pages more than Peter as Peter can type more than John. During a period of 5 hours Alice can type as many pages as John can during 7 hours. How many pages does each of them type per hour? (Asked by Preeti Jeevan)
